This series uses collage to create ceramic surfaces. Inspired by the fragility and properties of paper as it is ripped, torn and cut I wanted to capture this in a more permanent form. Working with collage and casting also presented the opportunity to incorporate found object, which offers an interesting contrast to the shallow surface captured with paper. As well as further building the potential to explore narrative through the inclusion of the recognisable.
